I hope that any other users of this wheel can help me out with these issues. Is it mapped to the same thing as the buttons maybe? What's the deal? I installed the most recent logitech drivers, and it recognized the shifter, but I couldn't configure the buttons for the shifter itself. I'd rather they be on the face buttons on the wheel, but that doesn't let me shift on the shifter! Is there anything I might be missing? I mapped the shift up/down buttons to the two directions of the shifter, and now it works, but menu select/back buttons are mapped to the shifter. It only responded for one direction on the shifter in the control settings mode, and in game, the shifter didn't work at all. Logitech Driving Force GT racing wheel review for PS3, PC and PS2. I had to fanangle some things to get the shifter to work, and now, the Accept/Cancel menu buttons are now mapped to the shifter. However, the shifting there was weird too. On another front, I love using the wheel to play OutRun 2 on my PC. So I assume that it's supposed to work that way, especially since my wheel has no clutch pedal. Perhaps I didn't understand how shifting works (This is my first Gran Turismo game and I've barely started it), but I played some arcade mode on it and shifting worked just by hitting the 元/R3 buttons. I also can't seem to get the actual shifter to respond either. L1 and R1, the button label on the shifters, don't respond even when the shift up/down buttons are set to L1 and R1. I tried different input settings for the shift up/down buttons, but I could only seem to get it set to what the wheel labels as 元 and R3. I tried it with Gran Turismo 3, for example, and I couldn't get the game to recognize the shift paddles on the back of the wheel. It's my first wheel of my own and I like it a lot, but the shifters seem to be.well, unpredictable. Not worth paying more than US$120 for it.I'm a little confused on the new wheel I got, a logitech Driving Force GT. Can be pretty annoying, unless you do not mind pau sing the game every 10 mins to recalibrate wheel.Ĭonclusion: In my opinion this wheel is nice if you get it for a nice deal or a factory refurbished with warranty. Only gets fixed by unpluging USB and pluging it back for self calibration. * *Offcentering of the steering wheel** after using it in game for a while. * No H shifter, and no flap paddles, just 2 buttons in the back and a sequential stick shift. This increases longevity and ensures consistent accuracy. *Steering wheel is gear driven, and not a belt. *Lots of programmable buttons, so you can use the wheel without going back to the keyboard while you are in-game. *Force feedback is strong (this feature can be adjusted through wheel settings to taylor your gaming experience), this means that you can feel wet roads, gravel, potholes, etc. Logitech Driving Force GT Racing Wheel Gamer's Review Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned As for software, the wingman app is OK and lets you tap into more advanced settings like 900 degree rotation, but these settings don't activate until you open the app window after you first start windows. Everything else seemed to work as expected. The dial seems to have limited functionality in PC sims each click left and right counts as a button press.

I have also owned a Driving Force Pro and this wheel is very similar but I believe the GT model uses a larger motor, a larger diameter wheel and the button configuration is different, with the red dial and back-lit center button. There are work-arounds but they probably aren't worth it, unless you're already invested in the old hardware.

Like most older Logitech wheels, it is incompatible with PS4 or newer systems, so look at newer models if interested in these systems.
